Ep. 27
Friday Fill Up: Rocky Soil
Roman 12:14
Bless those who persecute you. Bless them, and don’t curse them.

Every now and again we come across that person that we just do not seem to get along with. You know, the one you hope and pray you don’t end up running into at the store, church bathroom, or work lunchroom. Or this person could be a family member, a child, parent, or spouse even.
Bad or strained relationships are like rocky soil. But just like rocky soil, hard or rough relationships can be broken up, and softened. It takes a tilling, some seed planting, some watering. It can be done, and it may take a little time and some energy. There will be hot scorching days and there will be rainy days, but in the end if you keep working and doing your part….the soil will change and become what is needed for the relationship to grow and be a place where you can live, love, and thrive.
There are specific things we can pray for those people in our lives that we tend to find difficulty.
Pray that they will grow in wisdom
Pray that they will make wise decisions
Pray that they will live a life of integrity
And pray that they will live a life pleasing to Jesus
Think about
Who is in your life that needs to have their soil softened? Is it you?
Actions
Say those prayers that speak life to your situation
Prayer
Father, we love and honor you. We want to thank you for giving us the heart to love and soften the soil of those with hardened soil. We ask for wisdom to know how to pray for those people in our lives, we pray for discernment to know how to serve them. We ask for favor and grace as we patiently wait and work to better the situation and we pay that it all glorifies you! We love and honor You,
In Jesus Name,
Amen
